Hastelloy C22 is resistant to corrosion, pitting, crevice corrosion, inter-granular attack and stress corrosion cracking. Extremely durable, this alloy finds utility in many industries like marine, power, chemical processing, pollution control, paper processing, and waste disposal industries. The Hastelloy contains chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, and iron, which makes it extremely resistant to corrosion in stagnant or flowing seawater. The formation of alloy takes place by gas tungsten-arc, gas metal-arc, and shielded metal-arc processes and is available in seamless tube, welded tube, bar, wire, sheet, plate, forgings, pipe fittings and flanges.
